Chapter 11 Adobe Illustrator CS2 - Final Finishing Touches
Facing off with the last boss of the dungeon! Here are the finishing touches after the previous one. Do notice the color changes? Let me explain on the colors.
The green = refers to greenery, as in never ending forest full of trees.
The blue = refers to rivers and sea.
The light brown = refers to the desert, the wasteland, the leftovers of deforestation.
The darker brown with circles in it = refers to forest which had just recently being deforestated.
The meaning of this symbol i created is really simple. I illustrate the Earth as Gaia, or mother nature. So from a goddess; expected to be beautiful; turned ugly due to the process of deforestation. Through this process the beauty of mother Earth as seen above is tarnished and shud this continue; she would be totally destroyed and stripped off her beauty.

due to your persistent bugging, i have no choice but to leave a few comments which i hope will be helpful in some ways.
the idea's not bad, in fact i kinda like it. and i like the way you segregate the figure into different portions, somehow the proportions of the segments look pretty right.
what i think can be improved is firstly the proportion of the figure itself, it looks stiff. Somehow the feminine character was lost in the translation from the sketch to AI.I couldnt tell it was a female.
next is the choice of colours? try playing around with different tones of green, brown etc to make it look more appealing?
and lastly, i think the idea of destruction did not come out strong in the logo (unless that's your main intention) it doesnt look 'ugly' enough. When i say 'ugly' i dont mean by choosing ugly colours etc, its the idea that's not bold enough. Good idea but not translated well enough.
ok, after this i'm sure you wouldnt want me to comment anymore haha. but dont worry, good ideas can bring you far, that's if you know how to execute it the right way. All the best!
